Cesar Gordon, an Anthropologist with a PhD (2003) and Master's (1996) from the National Museum of UFRJ, is an associate professor in the Department of Cultural Anthropology at UFRJ. His achievements include being a visiting professor at the Collège de France (Paris), linked to the chair of Anthropology of Nature and the Laboratoire d'Anthropologie Sociale (LAS-EHESS) (2008-2009), and authoring the book Wild Economy: ritual and Merchandise among the Xikrin-Mebengokre Indians (Edunesp, 2006).). His main research themes align with contemporary relations between Indigenous peoples and national societies.
