She holds a master's and PhD in Social Anthropology. Her research seeks to understand urban transformation processes with special attention to the city of Rio de Janeiro. To this end, it articulates a historical look with perspectives specific to urban anthropology, focusing on the production of spatialities and temporalities. In recent years, her works have incorporated the study of infrastructures as an analytical axis of the construction of urban space and the (re)production of inequalities.
