Professor in the Department of Sociology at UFRJ and associate researcher at the Latin American Institute (Free University of Berlin) and at the University of the United Arab Emirates. She is Co-chair of the South-South Exchange Program for Research on the History of Development (Sepsis). She has taught at over 37 universities in 28 countries and has over 20 years of experience as an academic editor.
