This ambitious project aims to bring critical realism into American sociology and create an intellectual movement within the social sciences. Funded by a generous grant of the Templeton foundation, it organizes intensive summer courses ('boot camps') in the philosophy of the social sciences for Ph.D. students as well as high-level and high visibility conferences with some of the main social theorists within the US.
