She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in sociology from the University of Haifa and a PhD in sociology from the University of Manchester. She had his postdoctoral studies in the GTM (Genre, Travail, Mobilités) team of the CNRS. She coordinates the Center for Sexuality and Gender Studies (Neseg) of the PPGSA/UFRJ. She is a member of the steering committee of the Marché du travail et genre (MAGE) network, linked to the Centre de Recherche sur les Liens Sociaux (Cerlis), Université Paris 3, Sorbonne Nouvelle. She coordinated the Journal of Feminist Studies and is a member of the editorial committee of the journal Cadernos PAGU. She studies gender inequalities, feminist activism, and public policies.
