She is Professor in the Department of Sociology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She is the coordinator of the Center for Sexuality and Gender Studies (Neseg) and a member of the Fluminense Network of Research Centers on Gender, Sexuality, and Feminisms in the Social Sciences (RedeGen) and the Network of Researchers of the Work of the Household of Latin America (Rithal). Additionally, she is associated with the Gender and Care Working Group of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and Gender and Number. She is the associate editor of the Sociology & Anthropology journal. She has teaching and research experience in the sociology of gender and work and in research methodology with emphasis on the following themes: domestic work, gender, family, sexual division of labor, feminist movement.
