He holds a bachelor's degree (2004) in Social Sciences from UFRJ, a master's degree (2007), and a doctorate (2011) in Sociology from the Graduate Program in Sociology and Anthropology (PPGSA) at UFRJ. He is a professor in the Department of Sociology at UFRJ and has developed research in Brazilian social thought.
