Professor in the Department of Sociology at UFRJ. He is a member of the CA Ciencias Políticas y Sociales of the AUGM, the RC30 of the International Sociological Association (ISA), and a member of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) and the Brazilian Society of Sociology (SBS). He works in the sub-area of economic sociology and has experience in social change, globalization, and financial institutions and organizations. He coordinates the Development, Labor, and Environment (DTA) and Political Economy Laboratory of the Corporation (LEPoC) groups.
