Master's (2007) and PhD (2011) in Social Anthropology from the National Museum/UFRJ and bachelor’s degree in international relations (2003) from PUC-Minas. She works mainly in the anthropology of the State and anthropology of moralities, developing research on state practices, documents, and bureaucracy. She is also interested in the methodological specificities of ethnographic research with documents, holding a position as Coordinator of Documenta: Laboratory of State Anthropology, Regulation and Public Policies. She is a member of the WG Anthropology of the State and Institutions of the Latin American Association of Anthropology (ALA).
