Full professor (reitred) in the Department of Cultural Anthropology (DAC) at UFRJ, holding his link with the PPGSA. He holds a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, United States (1989) and a master’s in social Anthropology from the PPGAS of the National Museum of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1980). His main research interests are in heritage and museum studies.
