As a full professor in the Department of Cultural Anthropology (DAC) at UFRJ, she coordinates the research group SMARTIE: Laboratory of Agentive and Expressive Forms at PPGSA. Her research interests include Amerindian ethnology, its ontological, social, and aesthetic regimes, the Anthropocene and relational aesthetics, and the anthropology of agentive and expressive forms. She has published books, numerous book chapters, and articles on these topics in magazines in Brazil and abroad.
