Inventando o parentesco, a antropologia se inventou

Thomas Trautmann

Esse curso introduz os alunos ao estudo antropológico do parentesco, o que equivale a uma introdução à antropologia, focando o período anterior às críticas maduras de Schneider, que se iniciam com o seu American Kinship de 1968 e atingem seu apogeu com o Critique of the Study of Kinship, de 1984. Espera-se que no próximo ano letivo um curso sobre o estudo antropológico do parentesco no período posterior à crítica do Schneider possa ser oferecido, mas os dois cursos são independentes, e os alunos podem cursar apenas um deles.

 

Os alunos devem observar que já há leitura para a primeira aula.
