DILEMAS is dedicated to the continuous publication of original and unpublished scientific contributions, with a strong preference for those based on empirical research. Our mission is to foster scientific development and stimulate the exchange of ideas in the fields of conflict studies and social control within the social sciences. We aim to explore a wide range of topics, including deviant behaviors, violence, crime, morality, conflicts involving social movements and collective action, urban conflicts, criminal justice, public security, and public and private institutions of social control. Our target audience includes university-level readers, particularly those in the human sciences, as well as students and specialists in criminology, sociologies of crime, violence, institutions, social control, anthropologies of law, violence and urban conflicts, and related areas.

DILEMAS is not responsible for opinions, information, and/or concepts presented in its published texts. These are the sole responsibility of their authors.
